What is the difference between the Durable Poly Mesh and Heavy-Duty Welded Wire?Updated 2 months ago

The difference between the two fence materials is primarily in the durability and ease of installation. Both materials are quite strong against impacts (600 lbs break strength on the poly mesh and 1100 lbs on the welded wire). The welded wire will hold up better over time considering the weather/environment, chewing, etc. However, the poly mesh is much easier to install since it is more flexible and lighter weight (it is also more affordable). The welded wire is expected to last 3-10 years longer than the poly mesh when exposed to sun/rain, and it takes a bit more time and effort to install since it is heavier and more rigid.

The majority of our customers find that the Durable Poly Mesh material works great with their system. However, if you have a dog that might try to claw at or bite/chew the fence material (if they are able to access it when standing on their hind legs, for example), then we do recommend the welded wire mesh over the poly mesh.
